Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Base Basements collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information obtained through this website.
Effective date: August 2026
Base Basements ("Base Basements", "we", "us", or "our") operates the website at basebasements.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through the Site. It does not apply to information collected offline, or to any third-party website that may be linked from the Site.
By using the Site or submitting information through it, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
The Site collects personal information only when you voluntarily submit it through the estimate request form. That information consists of:
- Your name;
- Your telephone number;
- Your email address, if provided;
- The property address, if provided;
- The service category you select; and
- Any information you include in the free-text message field.
1.2 Information collected in connection with a submission
When you submit the estimate request form, we also record the date and time of submission, the page from which it was submitted, the IP address from which it was sent, and your browser user agent string. This information is retained together with your submission as a record of the consent described in Section 4. It is not used for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose.
1.3 Information we do not collect
The Site does not offer user accounts, does not require registration, and does not process payments. We do not collect payment card details, financial account information, government identifiers, or any category of sensitive personal information as that term is defined under applicable state privacy statutes.
2. How We Use Information
We use the personal information described in Section 1 for the following purposes only:
- To respond to your estimate request and communicate with you regarding the work you have enquired about;
- To schedule and perform any services you subsequently engage us to provide; and
- To maintain a record of the consent described in Section 4.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling. We do not add enquirers to marketing distribution lists.
3. Legal Basis and Nature of Collection
Provision of the information described in Section 1.1 is voluntary. However, a name and telephone number are required in order to submit the estimate request form, because we cannot respond to an enquiry without a means of contacting you. You may decline to provide this information and contact us by telephone instead.
4. Telephone and Text Message Communications
The estimate request form includes an affirmative consent checkbox that is not pre-selected. The form cannot be submitted unless you select it. By selecting it, you consent to be contacted by Base Basements by telephone call, text message, or email regarding the estimate you have requested.
This consent is limited to communications concerning your enquiry and any resulting work. We do not place telemarketing calls, and we do not use automatic telephone dialing systems, artificial voice messages, or prerecorded voice messages.
We retain the exact text of the consent disclosure presented to you, together with the date and time of your submission and the information described in Section 1.2, as evidence of consent.
You may revoke consent at any time by replying STOP to any text message, or by notifying us by telephone or email using the contact details in Section 12. Revocation will be honored promptly. Message and data rates may apply to text messages sent or received.
5. Cookies and Analytics
This Site uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC ("Google"), operating under measurement identifier G-16R4NYPEK0. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers stored on your device to distinguish returning visitors from new visitors and to measure use of the Site.
The information processed by Google Analytics includes the pages you view, the duration of your visit, the referring source through which you reached the Site, and your browser and device characteristics. Your IP address is used to derive an approximate location at city level and is then discarded. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.
Google processes this information on our behalf and in accordance with its own terms. Further information is available at How Google uses information from sites that use our services.
We use this information solely to evaluate and improve the content of the Site. We do not use it to identify individual visitors. Google Analytics Advertising Features, including remarketing and demographic reporting, are not enabled. We do not sell or share information collected through Google Analytics.
You may prevent this collection by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by configuring your browser to block or delete cookies. The Site remains fully functional if you do so.
6. Disclosure of Information
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not transfer enquiry information to lead aggregators, referral networks, or other contractors.
We disclose personal information only as follows:
- Service providers. Estimate request submissions are transmitted as email through Resend, which acts as a service provider and processes the message solely for the purpose of delivering it to us.
- Third-party resources loaded by the Site. Certain page assets, including web fonts, embedded map panels, stylesheets, and images, are served by third parties. Requesting those assets discloses your IP address and browser user agent to the provider concerned, as is inherent in the operation of the web. No information you submit through the form is disclosed to these providers.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose personal information where required to do so by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other lawful process, or where necessary to establish or defend legal claims.
7. Data Retention
Base Basements does not maintain a customer relationship management system or other database in connection with the Site. Estimate request submissions are retained as email correspondence in the business email account, and are retained for as long as they remain commercially relevant or as required to establish or defend legal claims. Submissions are deleted on request in accordance with Section 8.
8. Your Rights and Choices
The Kentucky Consumer Data Protection Act took effect on January 1, 2026. It applies to entities that control or process the personal data of at least 100,000 Kentucky consumers in a calendar year, or of at least 25,000 Kentucky consumers where more than fifty percent of gross revenue is derived from the sale of personal data. Base Basements does not meet either threshold and is therefore not a controller subject to that Act.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, and without waiving that position, Base Basements will honor the following requests from any individual who has submitted information through the Site:
- Access. To be provided with a copy of the information you submitted;
- Correction. To have inaccurate information corrected;
- Deletion. To have your submission and the associated consent record deleted; and
- Opt-out of contact. To have all telephone, text message, and email contact cease.
Requests may be made using the contact details in Section 12. We do not charge a fee for these requests and do not require the use of a designated form. We will respond within a reasonable period.
9. Children's Privacy
The Site is directed to property owners and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received such information, we will delete it.
10. Security
The Site is served exclusively over HTTPS, and form submissions are transmitted to our service provider over an encrypted connection. As stated in Section 1.3, we do not collect payment card or financial account information.
No method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure. Accordingly, while we take reasonable measures to protect personal information, we cannot and do not guarantee its absolute security.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected in the text of this Policy, and continued use of the Site following any revision constitutes acknowledgement of the amended Policy.
